Pass of Beceite-Turmell mountain


Site description (2000 baseline):

Site location and context
A mountainous area with many cliffs and gullies. Vegetation includes extensive Pinus woodlands, areas of maquis and large areas of scrub. The area is used for forestry, livestock-grazing, and hunting.



Key biodiversity
This is an important site for breeding raptors.



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
Threats include a dam project on the River Matarraña, fires and the use of poisoned baits.



Protected areas
National Partial International None30,418 ha of IBA covered by National Game Reserve (Puertos de Beceite, 30,418 ha).
