Site description (2004 baseline)
The site contains part of a partly drained wet and predominantly deciduous forest area, surrounded by farmland. Listed as an IBA since 2000 [2, 1]. High protection level: there is a 93.4% overlap with the newly designated Panemune forest restricted nature reserve, a candidate SPA.
