IBA Conservation

Ideally the conservation status of the IBA will have been checked regularly since the site was first identified in 2000. The most recent assessment (2010) is shown below.

IBA conservation assessment
Year of assessment State Pressure Response
2010 very poor low medium
Whole site assessed? State assessed by Accuracy of information
yes population good

State (condition of the trigger species' populations)
Species Actual vs Reference (units) % remaining Result
Black Grouse Lyrurus tetrix 260 / 310 (pairs) 84 moderate
Jack Snipe Lymnocryptes minimus 33 / 55 (pairs) 60 not assessed
Common Greenshank Tringa nebularia 40 / 40 (pairs) 100 good
Wood Sandpiper Tringa glareola 875 / 875 (pairs) 100 good
