Site location and context
An area of plains in the Tajo valley dominated by grassland and cereal cultivation with areas of dehesa.
This is an important site for steppic birds.
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The main threat is from agricultural intensification, particularly in association with irrigation.

International Partial9,780 ha of IBA covered by Special Protection Area (Llanuras de Oropesa, Lagartera y Calera y Chozas, 14,948 ha).
