Site description (2000 baseline)
A stretch of the Orel river valley, near Gupalovka, Chernetchina and Krasnopolie villages. Habitats are dominated by grasslands, with numerous lakes and marshes.

Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Aythya nyroca (1-2 birds, status unknown).
