Site location and context
Wet agricultural lands in the vicinity of Olonets town near the shore of Lake Ladoga.
Special measurements should be taken for maintainence of agricultural activities at IBAs as its quickly reduced at this sites during last decade of XX cenct.
Conservation responses/actions for key biodiversity
In the 1990 the international investigation project aimed on the geese migration were carried out by Karelian Scince Center (Russia, Petrozavodsk), Baltic Nature Fund (Russia, St.Petersburg) and OMPO (France).Since the middle of 1990 the Geese Festival are carried out by Karelian Center of Russian Academy of Science, Svir Nature reserve and Karelian and ST.Petersburg branches of RBCU during spring migration.
