Site description (2009 baseline):

Located on the eastern slope of the Da Hinggan Ling mountains. The IBA is part of the watershed of the Nen Jiang river.

Non-bird biodiversity: Nationally protected animals include Cervus elaphus, Alces alces and Felis manul.

The IBA includes the county-level Nuomin Nature Reserve (22,181 ha), which was established in 1998.
