Site description (2000 baseline):

Site location and context
An area of cliffs covered by maquis, phrygana, and olive-groves. Human activities include agriculture, tourism, fishing and hunting.



Key biodiversity
This is an important site for breeding raptors and for passage migrants.



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The main threats are from hunting, infrastructure and tourism developments. Part of the area is a candidate SAC.



Protected areas
National Partial International None150 ha of IBA covered by Wildlife Refuge (Profitis Ilias/Apollonia Sifnou, 150 ha).
