Site location and context
The lower part of the mountainous area of Harz, with predominantly semi-natural broadleaved forests.
This is an important site for hole-nesting species.
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
There are existing grassland-management programmes. There are plans to construct reservoirs in the area.
