Site description (2000 baseline)
A mountainous area dominated by maquis, Quercus forest and olive-groves. The main human activities are livestock-farming and hunting.
Key biodiversity
This is an important area for breeding raptors, particularly Hieraaetus fasciatus. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Falco naumanni (18-21 breeding pairs).
