Mount Erymanthos


Site description (2000 baseline):

Site location and context
A rugged limestone mountain with many inaccessible rocky slopes. Limited fir Abies forests cover the northern and southern parts of the site. The human presence is low and the main activity is stock-raising.



Key biodiversity
This is an important area for raptors and alpine species.



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The main threat is illegal hunting. Part of the area is a candidate SAC.



Protected areas
National Low International None950 ha of IBA covered by Wildlife Refuge (Doxara-Koriza/Kalentzi-Drosia-Spartia, 950 ha).
