Site location and context
A limestone canyon with Populus plantations, small woods of Quercus and Juniperus, open scrub, grassland and cultivation.



Key biodiversity
This is an important area for cliff-nesting raptors.



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The main threats are from overhead powerlines and high visitor numbers.



Protected areas
National None International Partial2,100 ha of IBA covered by Special Protection Area (Montejo de la Vega, 2,100 ha).
