Site location and context
The site includes deciduous montane forests, heathlands, peatbogs, scree and rocky slopes.
The site is important for montane and Mediterranean species, including
Aquila chrysaetos,
Circaetus gallicus, Circus cyaneus, Circus pygargus, Sylvia undata, Emberiza hortulana, Caprimulgus europaeus and
Lanius collurio.
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
High numbers of tourists, the abandonment of cattle-grazing and intensified forest management are threatening the site.
