Site location and context
The grasslands that surround the dykes of the Mittelwesermarsch and six flooded gravel-pits connected together by the River Weser. The grasslands often flood in spring.
This site is important for migrating waterbirds and waders.
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
Floating breeding platforms are provided for
Sterna hirundo.
