Site description (2000 baseline):

Site location and context

A glacial landscape supporting habitats typical of sandy lowlands. Heathland and scrub, dry siliceous grassland and various forest-types are present along with mires, peatbogs and areas of standing fresh water.

Pressure/threats to key biodiversity

Conservation programmes exist in the IBA.

Protected areas

National Partial International HighIBA overlaps with Nature Park and Nature Reserve.
