A mountain area, with mixed forests, bogs, scree and rocky slopes, alpine meadows and permanent lying snow.



Key biodiversity
An important site for species characteristic of montane and forest habitats.



Protected areas
National Partial International None549 ha of IBA covered by Nature Reserve (Conat-Betlans, 549 ha). 472 ha of IBA covered by Nature Reserve (Jujols, 472 ha). 2,137 ha of IBA covered by Nature Reserve (Nohèdes, 2,137 ha). 2,325 ha of IBA covered by 4 Hunting Reserves (Odeillo-Sausa-Réal; Mosset; Olettes; Nohèdes; total area 2,325 ha).
