Site location and context
The site includes rivers, sandy islets, marshes, riverine forest and arable land.



Key biodiversity
Heron colonies are present along the river. Burhinus oedicnemus and terns breed on the natural sandy islands.



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
Fishing and recreational activities are threats.



Protected areas
National Partial International Partial150 ha of IBA covered by Hunting Reserve (150 ha). 413 ha of IBA covered by Special Protection Area (Mars sur Allier, 413 ha).
