Site description (2000 baseline):

An area of woodland along the Orba river, on the west Padana plain, 10 km south of the town of Alessandria. The main land-use is nature conservation.

A large, mixed heronry.

No major threats are present.

National High International None30 ha of IBA covered by Nature Reserve (Torrente Orba, 246 ha).
