Site description (2000 baseline):

The largest wetland in the high Alps.

The site is important for migratory waterbirds and raptors.

The main threat is the abandonment of grazing, which is leading to loss of open habitat.

National High International None62 ha of IBA covered by Hunting Reserve (62 ha).
