Site description (2000 baseline):

The site includes marshes, reedbeds (Phragmites), ponds, riverine forest, wet meadows and bogs.

This is an important site for breeding waterbirds.

The abandonment of grazing, water pollution from agricultural run-off, a planned road-construction project and high hunting pressure are the main threats.
