Site description (2009 baseline):

Maozi Feng has a mixture of secondary forest and coniferous plantation, with a forest cover of 2,853 ha. The natural environment is well preserved.

Non-bird biodiversity: No information.

The IBA is not protected as a nature reserve, but it has been used for forestry for several decades, and is located in the state-owned forestry woodland in Nanxiong City.
