Site description (2009 baseline):

Mangshan Nature Reserve is located in Yizhang County, on the border between Guangdong and Hunan provinces. The eastern, southern and western sections of the reserve link with Guangdong, and are part of the Nanling mountains.

Non-bird biodiversity: No information.

Established as a nature reserve in 1982, and upgraded to a national nature reserve in 1994.
