Site summary
A lowland area of open river valleys with a mosaic of oak woodlands, marshland, agricultural land and small villages. An important site for breeding woodpeckers and raptors, and for wintering Red Kite. The main threats are from agricultural intensification and habitat destruction as a result of urban development.
