Site description (2009 baseline):

Site location and context
Located within the south-eastern part of Nonggang National Nature Reserve. Most of the IBA is covered with vegetation, apart from mountain summits and cliffs.

Key biodiversity

Non-bird biodiversity: Animals include Presbytis leucocephalus, which is endemic to China. Important plants include Camellia chrysantha and Burretiodendron hsienmu.



Conservation responses/actions for key biodiversity
The IBA is part of the Nonggang Nature Reserve, which was established in 1979 and upgraded to Nonggang National Nature Reserve (10,080 ha) in 1980. The Reserve consists of three separate localities, of which Longshan is the part in the south-east.
