Site description (2003 baseline):
Site location and context
This area is a big forest block in Mahakam Atas, and important because it has undisturbed lowland forest. Village along of Mahakam River, occupied by Kenyah and Bahau people (Dayak ethnic), with very strict traditional cultures.
There is no information about bird from this site. The site is near from the northern most area of White-shouldered Ibis

Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
Illegal logging and might be forest conversion, timber cutting area or oil palm plantation (Anon 1995).
Proposed as a nature reserve (350000 ha) (Anon 1995).
