Site location and context

Located on the south-western edge of the Sichuan basin.

Key biodiversity

Non-bird biodiversity: Nationally protected mammals including Giant Panda, Sichuan Snub-nosed Langur, Takin, Leopard, Lesser Panda and Stump-tailed Macaque.

Conservation responses/actions for key biodiversity

Established as city-level nature reserve in 2001, and upgraded to a provincial-level nature reserve (40,900 ha) in 2003.
