Site description (1999 baseline)
Located around 55 km south of Garut, it is a lowland area with sand dunes, mangroves and primary forest on limestone (MacKinnon et al.1982). It has reef formation and covered by seaweed.
Key biodiversity
Non-bird biodiversity: The important faunas in the reserve is Bos javanicus, Panthera pardus, Hylobates moloch, Trachypithecus auratus, Caretta caretta, Chelonia mydas and Eretmochelys imbricata (MacKinnon et.al.1982, Silvius et al.1987, Silvius 1989, Karno 1990, Hedges and Tyson 1996).
