Site summary
The site is located in the Pannonian lowland. Agricultural land is bordered with narrow windbreaks of shrubs and vegetation of xerophylous and semi-xerophylous species. The whole site is a hunting area. Lehnice is one of the five most important sites for the Red-footed Falcon in Slovakia. It is also an imporĀ­tant stop-over site for migrating birds and a wintering site for birds of prey. The main threat to the area originates from intensive agriculture. The site is proposed as an SPA.
