Site location and context
Ilex heathlands, with recently afforested areas of
Pinus, some mixed forests and small ponds. Human activities include forestry and hunting.
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The site is threatened by forestry exploitation: ancient woodland is being felled and replaced with
Pinus plantations and other exotic species.

International Partial135 ha of IBA covered by Nature Reserve (Le Pinail, 135 ha). 3,797 ha of IBA covered by Special Protection Area (Le Pinial et Forêt de Moulière, 3,797 ha).
