Site location and context
A small mixed forest, mainly pine
Pinus, situated in the north-western corner of Lincolnshire. Areas of unimproved acid grassland and heathland command SSSI status, and contain characteristic communities. Scotton and Laughton forest ponds support plant species of acid fen/mire. The site is important for breeding
Caprimulgus europaeus and
Lullula arborea.
