Site description (2009 baseline):

Located in Shaoxing County. A large colony of egrets nested in 1996, with as many as 8,000 birds in 1999. The nesting species are Egretta garzetta and Ardeola bacchus.

Non-bird biodiversity: No information.

Partially protected in Damiaowu Nature Reserve (67 ha), which was established by Shaoxing County Forestry Agency in 1999.
