Site description (2000 baseline):

A shallow wetland with extensive reedbeds (Phragmites).

This is an important site for breeding and passage wetland species.

No serious threats are known at the site. Recent restoration work has led to an increase in spring and summer water-levels, benefiting many species of waterbird.
