Site description (2007 baseline):
Site location and context
The IBA includes the rocky headland of Laggan Point, the broad, sandy sweep of Laggan Bay and adjacent
Juncus-rich grassland. The site is important for wintering geese, which come from Eilean na Muice Duibh (UK135) to feed.
Anser albifrons are the
flavirostris subspecies, and
Branta leucopsis are from the Greenland breeding population.
