Site description (2007 baseline)
The IBA includes the rocky headland of Laggan Point, the broad, sandy sweep of Laggan Bay and adjacent Juncus-rich grassland. The site is important for wintering geese, which come from Eilean na Muice Duibh (UK135) to feed. Anser albifrons are the flavirostris subspecies, and Branta leucopsis are from the Greenland breeding population.
