Site description (2000 baseline):
Site location and context
An area of mountains between the provinces of Valencia and Alicante with well conserved Mediterranean forest. Human activities include forestry, hunting and agriculture.
This is an important site for species typical of Mediterranean habitats and cliff-nesting raptors.
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
Forestry exploitation and forest fires are the most important threats. A management plan for the Natural Park has existed since 1993.

International Low2,450 ha of IBA covered by Natural Park (Carrascal de la Font Roja, 2,450 ha).
