Site summary
An area of the Jura mountains with open valleys, containing extensive raised bogs and wet meadows, and extensive subalpine forest on the slopes.
An important site for breeding raptors, particularly Black Kite, Red Kite and Common Kestrel, and species associated with subalpine conifer forest. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Corncrake.
One of the main threats is agricultural intensification in bog areas. The site is included in a Corncrake conservation project and mowing has been delayed in some sites.
