Site description (2000 baseline)
Kavaklý Daðý, located 100 km north-west of Ankara, constitutes the southern extremity of the vast Köroðlu mountain range. The lower parts consist of barren hills with Quercus scrub whilst the upper slopes are covered with conifer forests.
Key biodiversity
Aegypius monachus breeds in a steep-sided south-facing valley.
