Semi-natural forest and forestry plantation, dominated by wet forest in the Severskiy Donec river valley and by pine Pinus on sandy, drier soils.

Key biodiversity
Breeding species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Haliaeetus albicilla (1-2 pairs).
