Site description (2002 baseline)
The Kralicky Sneznik Important Bird Area consists of two types of habitats important for birds: subalpine meadows and alpine forests. Hundreds of hectares of meadows are extensively and irregularly managed there. The forests are composed of secondary spruce forests, with some fir-beech stands with intermixed sycamore maple. The forests are damaged by air polution to a large extent.
