Site description (2005 baseline)
National Park Kornati and Nature Park Telascica consist of many islands, islets, shallow sea and bays, but also of high cliffs suitable for breeding Shags, raptors and swifts. Allepo pine groves and maquis are best developed in Telascica, while Kornati are mostly covered by xeric grasslands. Main threats are unregulated recreational activities and tourism, overfishing and changes in traditional farming.
