Site description (2000 baseline):

Site location and context
The site comprises the majority of the archipelagic part of southern Kallavesi lake in the heart of the province of North Savo, with the addition of the small, eutrophic Kuhanen Bay on the western edge of the lake. The lake's shoreline is mainly undeveloped.
