Site description (2001 baseline):
Site location and context
Area located at the south of Arkhangelsk region near Kargopol town and includes a number of agricultural fields surrounded by fens and raised bogs.
A current tendensy of reduction of crop agriculture business may have an negative influence to the crane gathered here during passege as different grains are their main food.
Conservation responses/actions for key biodiversity
Since 1994 several international projects carried on investigation of geese and cranes took place at area. A lot of ecological education work going on with the participation of local authorities.
