Site description (2000 baseline):

Semi-natural deciduous forest on the hills bordering the Dnepr valley near Kanev town. Some parts of the River Dnepr remain unfrozen in winter due to warm-water discharge from a power- station.

National High International None2,027 ha of IBA covered by Nature Reserve (Kanev, 2,049 ha).
