Site description (2001 baseline)
Marshy, low-lying tundra with numerous rivers, lakes and channels between the Rivers Yazhma and Nyes.
Key biodiversity
A breeding area for Cygnus columbianus and geese. Very large numbers of geese moult (50,000), and swans and geese (including Branta leucopsis) occur on passage. There are no recent counts for any species.
