Site description (2009 baseline):

Located in southern Jone County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. The main habitat in the IBA is grassland, with some forest and agricultural land.

Non-bird biodiversity: No information.

The IBA is partially protected in the provincial-level Guozhagou Nature Reserve (2,687 ha), which was established in 1982.
