Site description (2007 baseline):

Site location and context
The area is characterized by upland heather and grass moorland, and includes 19 peaks over 400 m with the highest, Snaefell, standing at 621 m. The hills run north-east to south-west, and are divided by a central valley formed by the Rivers Dhoo and Neb. The site holds important numbers of breeding upland species and Pyrrhocorax pyrrhocorax.
