Site description (2001 baseline):
Site location and context
The site is located in a mountainous part of the Bashkir Republic, to the south-east of Meseda village, near the border with Chelyabinsk region.
The avifauna of the IBA shows a typical Taiga zone species composition.Available bird data is rather poor and more research should be carried out.
There is some tundra-like boreal montane habitat.
Conservation responses/actions for key biodiversity
Although currently unprotected there is a project to establish a National Park here.
