Site description (2000 baseline):

Site location and context
A small, uninhabited, rocky, marine island and surrounding sea, situated 8 km south-west of Killybegs and 2 km off the County Donegal coast. The island is low-lying and flat-topped with short grassland vegetation.



Key biodiversity
The island is important for breeding seabirds.



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
Fishing in surrounding waters may deplete the prey stock of seabirds, with implications for their breeding success. The site is a proposed (by NPW) Special Protection Area (Inishduff, 47 ha).
