Site location and context
A group of small islands with rocky coastlines in the English Channel.
This is an important site for breeding seabirds.
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
There is considerable disturbance from tourism (boats); further tourism development and possible aquaculture projects pose additional threats to the site.
National High
International High1,400 ha of IBA covered by Hunting Reserve (Iles Saint Marcouf, 1,400 ha). 3 ha of IBA covered by Private Reserve (3 ha). 1,400 ha of IBA covered by Special Protection Area (Iles Saint Marcouf, 1,400 ha).
