Islands in the Baie du Mont-St-Michel with rocky coasts, sand and shingle-beaches, scrub, grassland and arable land.

The site is important for breeding seabirds.

There is disturbance from tourism and sailing.

National High International High18,054 ha of IBA covered by Hunting Reserve (Iles Chausey Maritime, 18,000 ha). 54 ha of IBA covered by Hunting Reserve (Iles Chausey terrestre, 54 ha). 90 ha of IBA covered by Private Reserve (90 ha). 18,000 ha of IBA covered by Special Protection Area (Iles Chausey, 18,000 ha).
